On Day 2 of the WSOPE 2010, Viktor Blom called a preflop all-in by Charles "Mr Maccau" Chua. Chua was first to flip over his pocket Aces which put Blom's 7s in bad shape. The flop was a harmless J8Q, but the turn.... A SEVEN! Blom was very apologetic and indeed anguished as he took down the pot which set him on his way to being chip leader for the rest of the day. This is what Charles later said about the hand on 2+2: "Basically he was opening 50% of hands and 3 and 4 betting a lot. A few hands before i had 4-bet him with complete air and shown him. so then this hand comes up. blinds 600-1200 with 75 ante. he opens UTG to 2700. Nam Le behind him calls. I repop it to 9900(my stack was roughly 68k). Folds back to him, he makes it 19200. Nam folds and I tank reship. he calls the extra 48k and the rest is history. I didnt really know what to put him on, he was just insanely aggro and tbh i didnt really care because i thought he would call my allin anyway given his over 300k+ chip stack at the time. and his overall willingness to gamble it up."
