Robin Soderling Wins the Second Set in Semi-Final Against Andy Roddick in Indian Wells Masters Andy Roddick defeated Robin Soderling 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the Semi-Final at Indian Wells, but this match was extremely close, with both players uncharacteristically having their serve broken (7 breaks overall; Andy had 4 breaks, Robin had 3). This was the highlight of the match for Soda fans, as it appeared Robin was ready to make it to the finals after a fantastic second set. Another lost serve in the third set, followed by a break of his own to even the match and things looked good again. Unfortunately, Robin lost his serve one last time and that was all Roddick needed taking a 4-2 lead and narrowly holding his own serve in the last game. For me, it is encouraging that Soda brought out his "B" game in sets 1 and 3 and still was only a few points from making the Finals. Miami Masters is next!
