Insane all-in bluff by Viktor Blom aka Isildur1 on Day 3 of WSOPE 2010VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

At this point there were 43 players left, with 36 getting paid, and Blom had an above average stack. Just as he sat back down, he chatted with fellow player Darren Woods, who asked "Going well?" "No" said Blom. Woods joked "Hang on and you'll make the bubble". "I don't think so..." replied Blom. And so it nearly proved with this explosive, almost suicidal hand. Blom bet 52k on the turn, and his opponent Rob Akery called. The board read 5KJ-6, with the turn making a heart flush. The river was an offsuit 4, meaning there was also a possible straight. With 174k in the middle, Blom made a move that was pure Isildur1. He bet all-in for more than the pot, pushing in his whole stack of 278k. Akery had about 260k chips left himself. If he called and was wrong, he'd be out. If he was right, Akery would be amongst the chip leaders. Akery must have suspected he was ahead, even if he only had one pair. But at the crucial moment he couldn't convince himself to call. He mucked his hand, and a visibly relieved Blom flipped over AQ offsuit, for Ace High, no pair, with the Queen of Hearts which had missed a flush. To be willing to live, we must be willing to die!! Blom made the bubble, and will return on Day 4 of the WSOPE as one of the chip leaders. Akery, meanwhile, bust out soon after this hand.
